We were referred to this gem by a good friend of the owner and I am SOO glad he did. The place has such a cozy upscale feel but not in a stuffy way. It’s not a large place BUT the spacing is great as you don’t feel like people are on top of each other. Started with a Caprese salad, then hot bread and oil then on to starters calamari and the mussels where we also dipped the bread in the sauce!! Of course that’s all I needed as o was beyond full BUY then I had one of the best pork chops I eve had. It sat on polenta and a balsamic Demi glaze sauce. It was to die for! Wife had Orecchiette- broccoli rabe, garlic oil, crushed red pepper, parmesan reggiano! Finished with cappuccino and of course Ricotta cheese cake….BOOM!! Not if WHEN a you go say hello to Andrew a server there. Makes you feel like your right at home 👍🇮🇹🍷 5*****
Trama is by far the best restaurant on the Jersey shore. The food is always incredible. Every dish is more creative than the next and the flavors are outstanding. The atmosphere is energetic while having a very elegant vibe. Pat Trama is a master chef that knows how to make the most flavorful dishes. This is our regular spot for delicious drinks and fantastic food. But this is also the perfect place for a special night out. The staff is always professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Andrew, Rob and Sean make every visit special.
Our go-to restaurant for date night! Food is always amazing - we eat our way around the menu. Our favorite spot is the bar where we enjoy fantastic cocktails by Shaun (how does he fill the glass past the top???) and the company of other satisfied patrons. We eat here almost every week. It’s that good. I’d give more than 5* if that was an option!
Honestly probably the best Italian food I have had in my life so far. The service was wonderful & the food was fantastic! I had the Cesar salad, mussels, & rigatoni with sausage and peas, it was so amazing!
We took my visiting Cousin & Mother-in-Law out to dinner here last night (3/24/26). They are both PICKY Italians, always ready to offer a critique. Well, they BOTH walked out raving over the food, service and atmosphere. My MIL's eggplant was to her liking and my cousin couldn't stop talking about the veal prepared to perfection. I highly recommend Trama's and will DEF. be back!
Not only was our food delicious, but the cozy warm feeling in the restaurant was just the perfect setting. We opted for bar seats, which was a great choice for just 2 of us. It was like a happy family, we were chatting with 2 other couples before we knew it. Highly recommend. The bartender Rob was awesome.
For years, Trama’s has been another one of our local go-to’s for amazing food and drinks. The menu is always fresh and creative , but my favorites remain like their mussels, chicken parm and so on.
Incredibly delicious meal as always. We have been fortunate to have been going to Tramas(Ama) for all 16 years of existence and its just as delish as day 1. Tried a few new items this time and the chef delivered again. Started with Heirloom Tomato Panzanella Salad (new to us), Mama Trama's Meatballs, Garlic Bread, the Mussels (of course), and a special app - Brooklyn Crostini , smoked water buffalo ricotta, tiger figs, almonds, balsamic (new to us and WOW). Dinner - Rigatoni, Veal Parm, Chicken Parm, spaghetti side, and Pork Osso Bucco special (new to us). Cant forget the cocktail... Autumn in Oaxaca was outstanding. All flavors knocked it out of the park across the board. Already looking to book another reservation.
First timers who will definitely be back. The service, decor & ambiance are wonderful...and the food was EXCELLENT! From the hot, crusty bread to the delicious rigatoni, pork chop & halibut special! I can't wait to return & try more dishes!
I can’t say enough about how much my family and I love going to Trama’s. We been following Chef Pat for 15 years and been spending every Christmas Eve for the last 7 years at Trama’s. The food and service is always top tier. You honestly can’t ask for better Italian cuisine in this area. I highly recommend the mussels and calamari, it’s a game changer. Whatever Chef Pat puts in his red sauce leaves you salivating. Highly suggest checking this restaurant out if you love good food and good people. Also, shout out to Laura, Sean and Andrew, always going above and beyond for us.
